Constipation and Low Carbohydrate Diet

Switching to low carbohydrate diet may be responsible for difficult bowel movement resulting in constipation. High Fiber Foods like Fruits, Starchy Vegetables and Whole Grains are all cut down when you are on low Carb Diet.

Getting good amount of fiber is always important even if you are on low carb diet. You can add nuts, seeds or non starchy vegetables in your diet to compensate your low carb diet.

Why do people go on low Carbohydrate Diet? People go on magic low carbohydrate diet for Losing Weight. A low carbohydrate diet results in low insulin production in body, fat and protein are used as main energy sources. The soul aim of low carbohydrate diets is to make our body use fat as its main energy source. Apart from the benefit of losing weight, there are some other benefits of low carb diet. These benefits may be listed below as:-
