In Ayurveda, honey and cinnamon are well-known for their wonderful health benefits. Both the ingredients have powerful medicinal properties and when combined together, work in a great manner to improve overall health.

Honey is made up of glucose, fructose and other minerals such as iron, phosphate, chlorine, calcium, and magnesium. This natural sugar ingredient is also loaded with vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6. The antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and healing properties make it more useful for maintaining good health.

Cinnamon contains vitamins A, E, D and K and has powerful antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. The medicinal properties of these two superfoods create a powerful effect on the body. They work together effectively to provide natural care from many diseases.

Arthritis is severe joint issue which can affect a person’s mobility. If you are suffering from the chronic pain of Arthritis, you must use honey and cinnamon to get relief from it. Both the ingredients are great to maintain good bone health and relieve joint pain.

For consumption, you need to mix 1 tablespoon of raw honey and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a cup of warm water. Drink it every morning on an empty stomach for better results.

Improves Sleep :

The mixture of honey and cinnamon is also good to treat the problem of sleeping disorders. The anti-inflammatory properties of both ingredients help reduce swelling around the throat area that can obstruct airways and cause sleep apnea (A potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts).

Mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder in a cup of hot water and add tablespoon of honey and drink it daily before going to bed. Alternatively, you can also drink a glass of warm milk with a little honey and cinnamon powder daily before sleeping.

Aids Weight Loss :

As earlier mentioned mixture is good for weight loss, it does not mean this is going to happen in one day. Both the ingredients are helpful to boost metabolism which is good to speed up the process of metabolism.
