The Best Herbs to get rid of Diabetes

When talking about diabetes, taking care of the nutrition becomes the top priority. This is because; nutrients play an important role in maintaining a healthy life. Balancing the right amounts of protein, fats, carbohydrates, and fiber becomes essential. But, not everyone will know the right balance in nutrition.

For the body to remain in its best position, a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle come to the rescue. People with diabetes yet; have to be careful about their body’s nutritional needs. A nutritional diet is how the blood sugar levels would respond. The minerals, herbs, and enzymes prove the best to keep away and treat diabetes.

In this article, we bring you the best herbs to lower blood sugars, control BP and cholesterol. Additionally, these herbs ensure boosting and maintaining the insulin sensitivity.

Taking them in the form of supplements? One must always consult a doctor and get the blood sugar levels checked on a regular basis.

 

1.  Gymnema Sylvestre (Gurmarbooti):

Known as ‘sugar destroyer’, Gymnema Sylvestre is a plant that lowers the blood sugar levels. This is possible with its ability to detect the amount of sweetness. The herb regulates the activities of cell enzymes that use glucose for producing energy. Stimulation of insulin production is also taken care by this very herb.

 

2.  Bitter Melon :

Bitter Melon is available as a supplement for health. This is because it helps in blocking the absorption of sugars in the intestine. This ensures that the body cells use these sugars as glucose for producing body energy.

4.  Bill Berry :

Rich in Anthocyanidins, the antioxidant, Bill berry is a relative to blue berries. This antioxidant ensures preventing the blood vessels from the damage of oxidative stress. The damaged blood vessels result in neuropathy and retinopathy. Oxidative Stress is a result of free radical damage.

Fenugreek seeds are an important ingredient in Indian cooking from centuries. The seeds help in maintaining proper blood sugar levels and enhance insulin sensitivity. The amino acids in fenugreek boost the production and release of insulin. These normalize the blood sugar levels and possible post meal spikes.

Also, fenugreek ensures reduced levels of bad cholesterol. The seeds are a great cure for water retention and uric acid. This is because of fenugreek’s high fibre content.

 

6.  Ginseng :

In India, Ginseng is known as Ashwagandha or Indian Ginseng. this is an ancient herb used to treat many health issues from centuries.
