Super Foods that You Must Take To Fight Stress

Stress is an issue that not only disturbs a person’s mind but also affects his whole life. No doubt stress, depression, and fear have become part of everyone’s life. But too much stress can cause adverse effects on your body, mood, and behavior.

This problem of your life can lead to other health issues such as impaired memory, learning ability, osteoporosis, coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, and a weak immune system. Before it creates too much disturbance in your life it is better to find its cause and resolve it. To do this you have to change your perception towards life and also make some changes in your daily routine.

You must do exercise, meditation, yoga and eat healthy food to reduce stress levels. Most of the people find it difficult to choose the right foodstuff that can relieve stress. So, to get the right knowledge of foods that you must eat,  read the following points.

Green Tea :

Green tea is enriched with powerful antioxidants such as polyphenols, catechins, and flavonoids. All these antioxidants have a calming effect on the mind and body so, improve your mood in the right way. Moreover, it contains an amino acid called theanine that promotes relaxation and improves your focus and concentration.

In a study, it has been found that people who drink green tea daily enjoy better health and mood too as a comparison to those who don’t take. Whenever you feel yourself under stress, drinking one cup of green tea with added lemon can do wonders to your health. You should start your morning with one cup of green tea rather than a cup of coffee or ordinary tea.

Blueberries :

Blueberries are another good option when it comes to stress-relieving. This fruit is loaded with plenty of antioxidants that help reduce stress levels. Besides this, blueberries also contain vitamin C and E along with minerals like magnesium and manganese, which work well to reduce stress.

You must have blueberries to deal with depression, insomnia and other mood disorder that can contribute to stress. You can have blueberries as a fruit snack or add them to fruit salad or yogurt.

Orange :

Oranges are high in vitamin C that helps improve your immune system.  Being enriched in antioxidant properties they fight free radicals. Stress tends to increase the free radical load on the load so, eating organs can help.

Moreover, this juicy fruit also contains vitamins A and B and a variety of healthy minerals.  Simply drink a glass of fresh orange juice in breakfast and enjoy the benefits of nutrients present in it.

You can also enjoy oranges in desserts and other baked foods.

Milk :

Milk is loaded with calcium, protein, vitamins A and D. People who take it daily feel less stressed and energetic.  One glass of milk regularly can effectively make your body strong and improve your overall health.

All the healthy nutrients in milk help you calm down and fight free radicals that release in the body while you are stressed. The best stress-relieving breakfast is a bowl of whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk. You should drink milk at least twice a day, one in the morning and second in the evening. In case if you don’t like milk, replace it with yogurt, cheese, buttermilk, and other milk products.

Almonds :

Many nuts specifically almonds are high in vitamins B, E, zinc, selenium, and healthy oils. You can eat almonds raw or toasted as a morning or evening snack. Also, add this healthy foodstuff in desserts and baked eating items.

You should also eat walnuts and pistachios with almonds to lower your stress hormones, boost energy level and reduce blood pressure.

Avocados :

Avocados are a fine choice when it comes to eliminating stress. This healthy eating item is loaded with minerals, protein, and vitamins C and E. Avocados are also high in fiber, potassium, and healthy fats. All the healthy nutrients in avocado help lower the stress level by keeping your nerves and brain cells healthy.

Eating one half of avocado significantly reduces your stress hormone level and high blood pressure. You can this healthy fruit to your favorite fruit salad or smoothie. For the best result, it is necessary to have fresh avocados rather than packed versions.

Spinach :

Too little level of magnesium is also found a reason for headaches and fatigue, triggering the symptoms of stress. Consumption of one bowl of spinach soup or salad can help the body restore the accurate amount of magnesium.

If you don’t like spinach, leafy vegetables are an excellent replacement. Also, try cooked soybeans as high in magnesium.

Carrots and Sweet Potatoes :

 A person with stress, anxiety or depression should definitely add on carrots and sweet potatoes in his daily diet. These two components are excellent sources of fiber and carbohydrates, which further help in the production of serotonin (also known as the happy chemical, which contributes to stress relief and happiness).

Both the ingredients are sweet in taste so, they can also satiate the cravings for sugar as well. Moreover, also a great source of vitamins and minerals, good for maintaining your blood pressure level and improving heart health.

Oatmeal :

Oatmeal contains carbohydrates which help in enhancing the production of serotonin. Moreover, oats also have potassium and magnesium, which are proved to help in lowering high blood pressure.

 

If you usually feel stressed or exhausted in your routine life, having a bowl of oatmeal with some walnuts and cashews can help you enjoy a restful and calm day.

If you really want to relieve your stress and want to live calm and free life, you must have these above mentioned foods. Besides this, regular exercise and meditation can also work the same.
