Skin Care Tips for Women Over 40’s

Be it a Man or a Woman, everyone craves to Age Gracefully. However, as we step into 40’s there are certain things, including the natural body changes that lead to a disturbed skin. For women, it sure is a point of concern ‘coz who do not want to look beautiful? The answer to this is to find the right cosmetics and following some natural remedies to boost your beauty regime. No matter what age you be in, loving yourself does all the great wonders.

Like we discussed above, the right cosmetics are a blessing for better skin at 40 for women. Here, we will be discussing all the tips that a woman at 40 should follow

 1.   Exfoliate the Skin :

Exfoliation of dead skin is the first thing that becomes one essential part of your skin regime. All you need is to choose the best, mild, and natural skin exfoliator/scrub according to your skin type and the season.

Try using gel base scrubs in summers and creams in the winters. The cream-based scrubs can however be used if you have dry skin, which moisturizes your skin along with the cleansing.

 

 

 

2.  Moisturizing :

Growing old brings along skin issues like dry skin, which is due to the now less active oil-producing glands. Hence, make sure you moisturize your skin with a light oil-based lotion or moisturizer that will keep the skin soft and flexible.

 

 3.  Face Masks are the Best :

Using a good quality face pack helps in natural skin hydration. Made at home or brought from the market, make sure it suits you and your skin. Roop Mantra comes with a collection of amazing face packs that prove beneficial to your skin at all ages.

One of the most used hydrating skin pack is made of Mashed Banana, Yoghurt and Honey. Apply the pack on your face and neck an let it dry completely. Next, wash it off with luke warn water. This will leave your skin soft and supple.

 

 4.  For Your Eyes Only :

Wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes is one common sign of ageing. However, products like under-eye gel and under-eye cream helps in nourishing the eye area, and ultimately reduces the sign of wrinkles. Make sure you apply these before going to bed.

 

 5.  Using the Right Makeup for your Skin :

To look stunning and young even at 40, makeup is one prior solution. However, using the right amount is the key. Do not make it loud, but keep it subtle. Shimmer and glitter for your eyes should be avoided and matte colour shades should be an add-on to your eye shadow list.

Last but not the least, opt for lighter lip colours that include coral, pinks and browns. Avoid the gloss. Coming to the blushing and contouring, keep it as light as you may.

 

 

6.  Keep Away the Sun :

Going out or no, do not forget to apply a layer of sunscreen of an SPF of at least 15. This will not just keep the harmful rays of the sun away but help in keeping your skin hydrated to avoid the irreparable damage.

 

7.  Treat the Dark Spots :

Vitamins, minerals and other natural supplements play an important role when it comes to taking care of the skin. Vitamin-C is one such vitamin, which is involved in making healthy collagen, which ensures skin flexibility. Consumption or application of this vitamin also helps in Reducing Dark Spots, Acne Scars, Skin Pigmentation and Blemishes.

 

8.  Eat a Balanced Diet :

A balanced meal including fresh fruits and vegetables is the best to take care of skin health. Also, to flush out all the toxins from the body, drink at least 8-12 glasses of water daily. Caffeinated drinks, smoking and alcohol should be avoided to keep a healthy skin.

 

 9.  Give your Skin a Happy Sleep with Night Creams :

At 40, using a night cream should become a regular beauty regime. If you use make-up, make sure to cleanse your face thoroughly with a mild cleanser and then apply a hydrating night cream before dozing off. The night creams ensure to keep the skin hydrated that leads to a glowing complexion, softer skin, and gorgeous you.

Cosmetics and skin care products are for sure one step towards a happy skin at 40. However, natural ways are the best ways. Go hit the gym, walk around on green grass or walk a happy way to a beautiful you.  Stay fit stay beautiful.
