List of Foods for Arthritis and Its Symptoms

FOODS FOR ARTHRITIS

There are different types of joints in the body like shoulders, elbow, hips, and knees.

Joints pain means aching, stiffness and discomfort of joints which is commonly experienced due to various factors like growing age, heredity or injury.

The most common cause of joints pain is Arthritis which is further divided into Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis but it can happen due to other factors too.

There are medications for the treatment of joints pain which can be combined with some healthy foods to counter joints pain.

Joints pain can extend for a long time or it can simply be fixed in a certain amount of time depending upon the intensity of the problem.

#1.  Add Garlic to food

Garlic is one of the best foods to eat if you have the problem of joints pain.

Garlic has many health benefits that contribute to our overall health including maintaining the health of joints. It also has compounds that strengthen the immune system and help to reduce inflammation and decreases the symptoms of Arthritis.

#2. Ginger

Ginger is one of the most common ingredients in kitchens which add flavors to the food and to the tea.

But the usage and benefits of ginger are not limited to adding flavors only.

It has many other benefits like easing the symptoms of Arthritis and other forms of joints pain and discomfort.

#3. Berries

Berries are filled with high levels of antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins which provide the body with essential elements needed to counter inflammation.

Berries have plant compounds like quercetin and rutin that provide many health benefits to the body and strengthen the immune system.

There are different types of berries to pick up from as they can tickle your taste buds along with providing different health benefits.

#4.  Spinach

Spinach has a wide range of benefits ranging from providing different types of nutrients to building the immune system.

Leafy vegetables and especially Spinach has plant compounds that help to relieve joint discomforts, pain, inflammation and help to counter other diseases effectively.

Healthy greens like Spinach has a high level of Kaempferol, an antioxidant which helps in relieving inflammation and in fighting diseases. 

#5. Olive Oil

The most popular and widely used oil has multiple uses and benefits. Whether for making healthy food or for dressing salad, it is used widely for many things.

Olive oil has effective inflammation relieving properties which makes it, one of the best oils to consume while having the problem of joint pain and discomfort.

Other than this, Olive oil has a high level of Omega-3 fatty acids that greatly help in relieving problems like swelling and pain related to arthritic joints.

#6. Grapes

Along with its tongue-tickling taste, Grapes are jam-packed with nutrients, and antioxidants that help to fight symptoms of Arthritis.

Grapes have an effective plant compound called proanthocyanidin which is known to relieve inflammation and other discomforts with its natural anti-inflammatory properties.

Grapes contain resveratrol the compound found in the skin of grapes that helps in the cases of Rheumatoid Arthritis and other joint-related issues.

#7. Walnuts

Walnuts are packed with nutrients that help greatly in Arthritis and other joint-related issues. Walnuts are also rich in Omega-3 fatty acids which decreases the risk of joint-related problems like Arthritis.

Walnuts are greatly beneficial in relieving joint inflammation, pain, and discomfort related to joint disorders.

#8. Broccoli

Broccoli is one of the healthiest foods and vegetables and is associated with reduced inflammation of joints.

It helps with the symptoms of joint pain and inflammation also linked to Rheumatoid Arthritis. Broccoli has sulforaphane which has anti-inflammatory properties and helps with the symptoms of Arthritis, thus making it one of the best foods to eat while having joint pain.

These were some of the foods that help in Arthritis and its symptoms like joint discomforts, inflammation, and stiffness.
