Why I am not Able to Gain Weight?

A perfect shaped body is everyone’s desire, a dream to achieve.  A perfect body is a rich body. Both skinny and overweight individuals are running in the race to acquire a perfect body. A skinny person wants to gain weight and on the other hand overweight people try hard to lose extra kilos.

Are you losing or gaining in healthy way?

Let’s talk about weight gain. Question arises when all those efforts and supplements go wasted but the desired body is not achieved.  There can be many causes: Is it malnutrition? Is your body capable of absorbing crucial nutrients?

Our body functions totally depend upon the nutrients intake. Sometimes, even after devoted and dedicated healthy diet one might not feel healthy. So what can be the reason for the failure?

Are you stressed out?

Stress hormones burns out body fuel rapidly and increases metabolism. The faster the body burns the energy resources the more energy and nutrients it needs. In stress, the body consumes stored energy, leading to weight loss. So, do not stress; relax, rest, sleep well and eat well. Keep your worries at the bay for the sake of your health.

Do you know gut bacteria plays essential part?

Keep growing healthy bacterial flora. A healthy weight is maintained when your gut has bacteria as friends. The major calories go wasted when gut bacteria are not able to function properly and let vitamins and minerals absorb properly. Keep handy pro-biotic foods.

Always relish your food:

Absorption of nutrients increases up to 50% when you enjoy your food. Relishing your food stimulates proper digestion, helping in better absorption.

Are you getting enough fats?

Do not be afraid from fats, eat healthy fats.  It is beneficial for healthy functioning of the body. Healthy fats from oils, nuts and seeds promote health.

Try mix-n-match:

For efficient absorption of nutrition in the body, eat food that helps increasing the capability of each other.  Food combined together usually synergies for the better absorption of nutrients.

Do you exercise? Do not be lethargic. Exercise is must. Whether you are happy, sad, angry, loved, lonely just exercise. It activates the release of endorphins, the happy hormones.

No drinking and smoking:

Stay away from drinking and smoking if you want to lead a healthy life. Both linked and non-linked are detrimental.  They deteriorate the major functional organs.

Did you get yourself checked?

Hyperthyroidism or gastrointestinal conditions can also be the reason for not gaining weight. Consult your physician if you find any symptoms like tremors, irregular heartbeat, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety.

Balancing every aspect of gaining weight with combination of healthy food, determination, patience, positivity helps with better results.  Fitness leads to confident life.
